Why Am I Promoting Self-Care, When I Don't Have It All Figured Out Yet?

Building an Online Space for Self-Care: A Personal Journey of Compassion and Connection

In a world that often demands relentless productivity, multitasking, and perfection, the concept of self-care has become more important than ever. For many women, including myself, the struggle to balance the demands of daily life with the need for personal care can be overwhelming. This is one of the main reasons why I have chosen to create an online space centered around self-care. It’s not just about promoting products or services; it’s about creating a space where women can feel seen, heard, and supported in their self-care journeys.

But before diving into the idea of creating an online space for self-care, it’s essential to acknowledge something deeply personal: I am not perfect. I too I have challenging days where taking care of myself is a struggle. There are times when self-care feels like an afterthought rather than a priority. I’ve had moments where I’ve felt overwhelmed, drained, and disconnected from the practices I know are meant to support me on my journey. And that’s precisely why I’m drawn to the concept of self-care. It’s not something I’ve mastered on every level, and that’s okay. The very reason I’m passionate about working with it is because I am on this journey, too.

A Shared Struggle: Connecting Through Imperfection

The reality is, I’m not immune to the very issues I aim to help others with. But instead of seeing this as a weakness, I recognize it as my strength. My own struggles with self-care make me more relatable to the women I want to support. I know how hard it can be to juggle responsibilities, take care of others, and still carve out time for yourself. There’s a deep and profound connection I feel with women who are on the same journey because I’ve walked in their shoes. It’s this shared experience that fuels my desire to build an online space around self-care, not from a place of superiority, but from a place of empathy and understanding.

I believe that self-care is a skill, and like any skill, it requires practice. Some days, I succeed in prioritizing my well-being, while other days, I struggle. But that’s the whole point: self-care isn’t about perfection, it’s about persistence. It’s about continually showing up for yourself, even when it feels difficult. I know firsthand how easy it is to put your needs on the back burner, but I also know the profound difference it makes when you don’t. That’s why I want to support other women on their journeys—to help them find ways to connect with and implement self-care in a way that works for them, just as I’m working on it for myself.

A Holistic Approach to Wellness

Although self-care can be challenging at times, my commitment to it is rooted in a lifelong passion for holistic health and wellness. From an early age, I have always been drawn to practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about different approaches to health and wellness—ranging from nutrition and fitness to mindfulness and emotional healing. This knowledge has equipped me with a diverse set of tools and practices that I now share with others.

However, being knowledgeable in your field doesn’t mean that you’ve mastered it in every aspect of your life. That’s a lesson I’ve had to learn over time, and it’s one that I think is crucial for others to understand. We often hold ourselves to impossibly high standards, thinking that because we know the “right” things to do, we should never struggle. But life doesn’t work that way. Even with all the knowledge and experience in the world, there are days when self-care feels like an uphill battle. And that’s okay. We need to give ourselves some grace and compassion. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about doing our best and acknowledging that our best will look different on different days.

A Compassionate Facilitator for Others

This understanding is why I believe I can be a great facilitator for other women on their self-care journeys. I don’t come from a place of having all the answers or being a perfect example of wellness. Instead, I come from a place of genuine care, empathy, and a desire to help through deep empathy and presence. I understand the struggle, and I want to offer support, guidance, and encouragement to those who need it.

One of the most important messages I want to convey to women is that self-care isn’t about adding more stress to your life. It’s not about creating a perfect routine that you have to stick to no matter what. Rather, it’s about finding small, sustainable ways to care for yourself that feel nourishing and doable, even on the toughest days. Whether it’s taking five minutes for deep breathing, indulging in a favorite hobby, or simply reminding yourself that you are worthy of rest, self-care is about what works for you.

Offering Genuine Support

Through Self-Care with Love, I encourage women to embrace the idea that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. I’m here to remind women that they are not alone in their struggles, that it’s okay to have bad days, and that they are deserving of love and care no matter what. I want to help women cultivate a sense of self-compassion, to let go of the guilt and pressure, and to embrace self-care as an act of self-love, not a chore.

Because I Care

At the heart of everything I do is a deep sense of care. I genuinely want to help women prioritize themselves in a world that often tells them to do the opposite. I want to remind them to love themselves in all ways, always. Self-care is more than a trend or a buzzword—it’s a vital practice that allows us to show up as our best selves, not just for others, but for ourselves. And that’s why I’m creating this online space—because I believe that every woman deserves to feel loved, cared for, and worthy, starting with how she treats herself.
